Building MTSS from the Bottom Up: Focusing on Pre-K & K

Baltimore City Schools created an initiative which focuses on improving general education student outcomes through collaboration, consultation, prevention and early intervention. The team is comprised of related service providers. Providers support schools on creation and alignment of initiatives that support all students on a tiered response strategies using research based strategies. This initiative has partnered with the multiple offices and departments within City Schools in an effort to roll out MTSS. Session participants will learn about the history of the project, challenges, barriers and success stories of rolling out MTSS within a large urban district.
